Warranty
All ECO RGB sabers come with a 1-year limited warranty on the electronics. The warranty period begins on the date of delivery.
Warranty only covers normal operation of the saber as instructed. Tampering with the electronics, modifications to the hilt, inserting the battery with the incorrect polarity, and incorrectly charging the saber will void the warranty.
If there are any issues with the saber please reach out to us and we'll do our best to assist.
Because I love this saber so much and am saddened by the lack of reviews, I’m going to try and be as thorough as possible. As a more casual Star Wars fan who does not have a lot of disposable income, I poured two weeks of research in before arriving at Stardust as the best shop for reliable, cheap sabers. My journey started because I took my old saber to a con and realized how horrible it was to manage. The light was so dim that you can barely see it in pictures, the hilt is so big I can’t even wrap my hand fully around it, the details almost cut my hands when I spun it, it was only single color with no sound, and it was just too long for me. Luckily, this saber solves all of those problems. It was recommended to get the 32” as its easier for spinning, less top heavy than a 36", and a lightsaber blade should be the distance from your fingertips to your chest (which was almost 32” exactly for me). The pixel blade is also a lot brighter than my single color baselit blade and is my first saber with SOUNDS! The extra cosmetic details are also a lot smaller in this particular saber so it doesn’t affect spinning like my old one. The grip has a smaller circumference so it feels really nice to hold and the quality is really solid. Overall, I couldn’t be happier with a saber! This will definitely be so cool to pull out for halloween along with my Cal Kestis costume and 3D printed BD-1!
SPECS:
- Pixel - SN-Pixel V4 - 32” Pixel Blade
PROS:
- Price: With my specs, the base price comes out to about $340. Add on the fact that I bought this during their may 4th sale, and I got it for $270. Price wise, you CANNOT beat this anywhere else if you want a reputable dropshipping company. If you go to Chinese websites like AliExpress, you can find this saber for $260-270 HOWEVER, they have awful customer service and some people complained they got the wrong saber, a cheaper version than advertised, or it came broken and they got ghosted by customer service. Turning to American and Canadian companies, the lowest prices go from about $350-475 for this exact saber.
- Customer Service: It was a little scary how good the customer service was. I reached out to 10 different lightsaber companies with questions and NONE of them got back to me except for Stardust. Not only did we exchange several emails, confirming sizes and even giving me recommended specs, but the saber also comes with a one year warranty. Did I also mention that all of my emails got responses within an hour of sending them?? So many other Chinese companies will get slammed online for their lack of customer service and their tendency to ghost anyone who has issues.
- Reliability: Reliability was very important to me; I needed to know the company wasn’t going to take my $300 and run away or send me a bad product and then never get back to me. Luckily, Stardust is pretty solid and is even one of the few companies recommended and endorsed by the official Reddit lightsaber forum, a place with hundreds of thousands of contributors.
- Customization and Versatility: The SNV4 was everything I could dream of in a saber. Besides being able to change the blade color, you can customize the sounds, ignition style, and blade effects.
- Fast Processing Time: I ordered my first saber from Ultrasabers and it took about 2 months to arrive. I was so nervous they just forgot my purchase. But Stardust actually got my saber to me in about two weeks!
CONS: (More nitpicks than anything)
- Hot Charger: Something that concerned me a bit was the charger. After my 3 hour charge, it was very hot so this is just a warning to anyone who was hoping to charge it by some curtains and leave it overnight.
- Ignition Button: Because I want to spin this saber, I do have an issue with the button placement as it's easy to accidentally press it as you spin.
- Flash on Clash: Another minor flaw with this saber is the flash on clash. I’ve read that Neopixel sabers shouldn’t be hit as hard as baselit sabers because of the electronics in the blade and I have to smack this pretty hard to get the desired flash on clash. Or maybe I’m just a baby who wants to be too gentle with it.
- Nonfunctional Apple App: One of the big reasons I went with the SNV4 was because I am bad with technology and don’t want to go through the effort of figuring out how to program a Proffie board. One of the things that made me excited was the app I could use to customize the blade with presets so I wouldn’t have to figure out the button codes. As it turns out, the SNV4 has issues with iOS and will not connect to my saber. Learning the button combinations is fine, but when I am scrolling for a specific sound, it makes it a big hassle to manually go through ~30 other sounds to get to it. TO BE CLEAR, this does not take away from my stars because my understanding is that the issue is on the app developer’s side, NOT the manufacturer.
NOTE: I just got this a few days ago, will edit if anything happens or sud...
